We will be celebrating our high holy days in about 2 weeks. If you are going to be celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Yum Kippur, let me know who you are. I will be setting up a table in the lobby with holiday symbols as I have been doing for the past several years and we get “goodie bags” from Jewish family and children’s services of S.F.. If you are new and would like to be added to this list, let me know.
The most common remark from newcomers is how friendly everybody is here at Villa Marin. Is that something you really can’t know until after you move in what a wonderful wonderful surprise everybody can’t speak highly enough of the family. They’ve just joined. As a member of the welcoming committee after hearing this so much, I thought I must share it with everybody. We are so fortunate to live here☺️
It is now possible to enhance your hearing in the Villa Marin Auditorium. Most hearing aids now include a T-Coil option which connects to a Copper Coil. This is a copper wire that runs down each side of the Auditorium, down the center, and across the wooden part in the center.
Your audiologist can assist in accessing the T-Coil on your cell phone. Any presentation through the microphones is always accessible.
Thank you, Roberta. I just went to pick up my new hearing aids and I asked them if they have a T cell and they say well yeah but it is an activated so they took it back and activated it. It never would’ve happened if you hadn’t taken time to put this information here thank you Diana.
I would like to hire someone every day to come for 1/2 hour in the morning preferably 9 o’clock. I have no idea how to find someone. Does anyone have any idea where I could look to hire someone?
Kudos to Loyd for his thoughtful presentation and summary at the Board Meeting, highlighting the outstanding contributions that Nicole Mashburn has made to The Villa of Marin over the past 23 years.
Meet in the Main Lobby at 3:30 pm. on Fridays if you’d like to carpool to The Redwoods corner (Camino Alto and Miller Avenue in Mill Valley) for the Mill Valley Seniors for Peace weekly rally, Friday from 4–5 pm. Residents at The Redwoods have been gathering on that corner since 2003 to sing–accompanied by guitars and recorder–and hold up their signs for a variety of concerning issues. No sign? The Redwoods has a grocery cart full of them to choose from. Join us! It’s always good to SHOW UP, and the community there is welcoming and friendly! Contact Karen Knox (615-804-4558) or Roberta Schwarz (ext. 2589), or just show up: Main Lobby by 3:30 pm. on Fridays to carpool.
Anyone having trouble with SpeediWiFi today?
Tells me I’m off line, when I’m not.
Takes forever to load a program.
Stopped several times in a movie I was watching on my iPad.
Was fine when I went to bed last night.
Have restarted my iPad several times.

What do you want that person to do?
Mainly come in and wake me up perhaps make coffee. I had a cup of coffee or something rinse out the dish and just be here.
